During this pandemic, there has been a shortage on personal protective equipment (“PPE”) for healthcare workers. In response to the lack of masks and face shields, colleges and universities across the US have helped create and engineer more PPE. North Carolina State University is one of these amazing schools. “Our scientists have completely converted their research over to manufacturing these materials and are doing it in partnership with companies like Brooks Brothers and Hanes to produce enough material for almost a million masks a day,” says Chancellor Randy Woodson.
