Earlier this month AJ attorneys Caroline Trautman, T.J. Hooker and Todd Jones prevailed in the appeal of a domestic law matter in the North Carolina Court of Appeals. The Court, in a three-judge panel, decided in Anderson Jones’ client’s favor on the appeal of multiple District Court orders in Carteret County. The appeals arose from the denial of a motion to dismiss a counterclaim for equitable distribution, as well as numerous other domestic law orders. In finding for our client, the Court held that the prior pending action doctrine and abatement practice did not apply to multiple actions pending under Chapter 50. Great win! Way to go team!
