Andy Penry is a distinguished attorney with a remarkable career that spans over four decades. After graduating from Wake Forest University School of Law, he began his legal journey as a law clerk for a federal district judge. He then practiced at national law firms before establishing his own practice. His dedication and passion for the law have led him to become a trusted advisor and advocate for both public and private sector clients.
Licensed in North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida, and California, Andy’s diverse legal background and impressive credentials make him a valuable addition to our team. His practice areas include Administrative Law, Business General Counsel, Commercial Litigation, Construction Law & Litigation, Contracts, Local Government & Municipal Law, OSHA Defense, and Securities.
Beyond his practice, Andy is committed to educating future legal professionals. He serves as an adjunct professor at Wake Forest University School of Law and Campbell University, Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law. His leadership roles include Chair of the North Carolina State Board of Elections, member of the Election Assistance Commission Advisory Board, and member of the Election Law Committee of the Uniform Law Commission. Additionally, he has served as Deputy Securities Administrator and Head of the Securities Division of the North Carolina Department of the Secretary of State.
