Todd Jones travels with the North Carolina Bar Association Delegation to Lithuania and Latvia!
From May 11, 2012 to May 23, 2012, Todd A. Jones, Partner of Anderson Jones, PLLC, traveled as part of the North Carolina Bar Association International Law Section delegation to Lithuania and Latvia. The trip included a very busy itinerary including visits to the Lithuanian Parliament, various courts throughout Lithuania and Latvia and a number of governmental agencies in both countries. There was some time for sight-seeing and other leisure activities. Over the course of the 13 day trip, the delegation traveled to Vilnius, Lithuania, the capital; and went by bus to Kaunas, Lithuania, the second largest city. From Kaunas, the group traveled to Riga, Latvia, capital, where the trip ended.
The purpose of the exchange, coordinated by the NCBA’s International Law & Practice Section, was to provide a forum for a professional exchange of ideas and information between the legal practitioners, as well as to promote friendship and understanding between North Carolina and Lithuania/Latvia attorneys, professors, judges and other legal professionals through the sharing of both cultural and practical information about our legal systems. The exchange delegation also participated in mission work at an orphanage in Lithuania.
The delegation, led by Linda Markus Daniels, included Todd A. Jones, Kimberly A. Brackett-Jones, Richard W. Gabriel, Deborah Hildebran-Bachofen, Cindy Huntsberry, Robert W. Kilroy, Steve Sadler and NCBA staff liaison Lynda Imhoff.
